Investments – Overview

KERN Energy Partners I and II Funds (KEP) are private equity funds focused on Canadian energy sector resource and infrastructure development, with the flexibility to invest in US and international energy sector opportunities. KEP makes equity investments in early stage and emerging energy companies.

KEP has aggregate capital commitments of $680 million. Since November 2003, KERN has invested with leadership teams that share KERN’s vision of value creation and partnership. KEP is funded by a group of leading North American university endowments, pension funds, foundations, institutions and family offices.
