Altex Energy Ltd. – Altex is a Calgary-based private energy infrastructure development company pursuing a rail transportation strategy ( RailBit) for transporting oilsands bitumen and heavy oil to key North American markets in the Midwest, the US Gulf Coast and the West coast of Canada. Altex has established rail terminals in Saskatchewan and Alberta and is working to finalize arrangements for a US Gulf Coast terminal. Further expansion of rail terminals, at key locations, is anticipated as RailBit volumes grow. The company is led by CEO Don Moe who has extensive executive experience in managing BP’s liquids system. Don is supported by the team that developed Railbit from concept to shipping bitumen by rail.
